Today is the International Workers Day, or May Day (and not mayday!). Today we celebrate the labor and left-wing movements. This year it sounds a bit like a joke. At least in Italy, where we currently lack of either labor and left-wing. Some say we can still celebrate the idea. It won’t hurt.
What is still here, though, is the rain of the first of May. I remember getting soaked every year while attending at the big concert organized in Rome for the holiday. OK, it’s at least six years since the last time I went to the concert. But the rain is still here, soaking the audience.
Today I used the holiday to meet with some friends which are back in Rome just for a few days. I intended to shoot their portraits, little did I know, there was no memory card in the camera. When back home, the sky was super-moody and sunset was at its peak, so I went to the roof and take a couple of shots. I am not a sunset person, but I happen to like this shot quite a bit. And I love the crow perched on the antenna. It really helps to guess the size of the lonely reflectors and of the overhanging clouds.
Short communication for you folks. I am preparing a little publication with the stuff in this blog. It should come out around day 90 in two different forms: an ebook and a printed book. It will be the first of four books, which will collect the whole project material.
The ebook will be free and will work on iPads, iPods and iPhones. I am sorry for all the Android, Kindle, and whatever-other-non-apple-tablet users, but I’m using Blurb to publish my books and Blurb makes the rules. I’m sure that in the short future this ebook will be compatible with many other devices, so just download the file (it’s free) and hope for the best.
The production cost of the printed book (7×7 inches, 18×18 cm) will be around 35 Euros plus shipment. Here I ask you, should I charge something on the printed version? I was thinking about a five-to-ten Euros, a sort of “support my work” fee, to ask to those who want to help me while getting a nicely printed version of the blog. What do you think?

the free donation would be perfect, you're right. But I don't think it can be done directly on Blurb. I do not have the time to setup a donation plugin on my website, so I would rather go and set the price on Blurb.
