A quiet, outrageously beautiful, basilica, the one of San Paolo Fuori le Mura (Saint Paul outside the walls). My favorite among the four papal basilicas. The one which, the next Sunday, is going to be totally cramped by the crowd which will gather to attend the Mass celebrated directly by Pope Francesco, from the papal altar (the one only the Pope can use), as part of the rituals for the new pontiff installment.
By then, however, this theme will be over. “Habemus Papam” is supposed to end next Friday, the 12th of April. It will be a very special day for me, since my first personal exhibition will open that day at seven PM. Should any of you be in Rome, please pass by and have a drink, there will twenty beautifully printed photographs exhibited, plus plenty to drink. The exhibition, titled Momentary Suspended, will be at Officina 468, via della Lega Lombarda 44, Rome (in the lively neighborhood San Lorenzo), from the 12th till the 22nd of April.
Needless to say, I’m pretty excited/exhausted/anxious about the whole thing… in fact I started a wish-candle myself, once this young boy had it done with his praying.
So, should you believe in any God, please pray for me and the exhibition opening, should you believe in luck, please wish me good one, should you believe in nothing, I don’t believe you, we all need faith of some kind to keep walking and breathing on this little messy planet!
