If destiny is talking to me, right now, it is doing it in Klingon. I hear it speaking a lot of words, but I can’t figure out whatever piece of information it’s trying to convey. I guess it is just that confusion got into my head, which makes everything look scattered and uncertain. The shooting of Saturday has been postponed of at least one week, which makes me nervous, I really need to nail it and move on. Sure I’ve more time to work on the approach, poses, and light schemes, but it’s like with university exams, it comes a day when you don’t care about studying anymore, you just want it to be over so you can move to the next topic.
Temperatures dropped abruptly in Rome and, as usual, half of the heating systems turned out to be broken, like the one in our meeting room. I had a five hours meeting, from 9.30 on, in which I basically froze. At a certain point I had to start jumping around the room just to keep me warm. Try having a scientific conversation while jumping, it isn’t easy unless you’re a kangaroo.
My day ended with another meeting, this time a nice photographic meeting, in a warm restaurant, with a tasty aperitif and a couple of excellent wine glasses. There’s an exhibition on my way, probably around February, and things are getting serious. A lot to talk about and figure out, yet, but the first important steps have now been done. I’ll be back with this when I’ll have more solid information.
Besides the meeting, which went great, the restaurant was so-and-so. Sure, it stays fifty meters from our flat, which makes it extremely convenient, inside it is really stylish, warm (!), and the waitresses are extremely nice. But the service is sooooooo slow, they served us the food part of the aperitif like twenty minutes after serving the drinks, let alone having dinner, that is a real adventure… and the food is OK, but nothing special. So, I’m sorry “Brò”, but I don’t see me coming back soon, let’s say I’ll call you sometime.
